Mount Meru Treking

Meru (4562 m/14967 ft in height) is the challenging Mountain to climb as compared to Kilimanjaro Mountain despite of being shorter in terms of height. Most importantly, the climb itself, that last night to the summit, is a much more difficult and more challenging trek than even the last night on Kilimanjaro. Generally Mount Meru Climb takes four days, however it is tired 3 days to complete a trek to the Summit. Transparent day it is visible from Mount Kilimanjaro on a, and is the fifth-highest mountain in Africa and second in Tanzania. Climb Mount Meru is nice with no traffic and superb wildlife expertise as you hike past wild animals.

Expectation on Climbing Mount Meru

Climbing Mount Meru weather for four days or three days expect the following:

Second highest in Tanzania, 14,980 feet

Beautiful place to hike with spectacular view and animals

Game drive, Walking safari, cycling, horse riding, canoeing at momella lake (optional)

4 different zones E.g. mountain forest zone, savanna, moorland zone, alpine desert,

Crater, waterfalls, rivers, big trees, harsh cone, lava, rocks, steeper than Kilimanjaro, unique photographic background.

Natural forest with beautiful vegetation, E.g. Flowers, trees, grasses, lynches, mosses.

Full board accommodation whilst on trekking in the mentioned tented camps. You'll also get breakfast, lunch & dinner while on trekking.

All Government taxes and levies will be covered including all park and entrance fees. Luxury safari Jeep, Office Assistance and airport transfers will also be up to In-Africa stay.

You'll have to ...

You'll have to purchase your own flights to and from Tanzania and pay for your Visa fees for Tanzania.

You'll pay for gratuities & tips for your safari cook/guide or Driver. Also any other items of a personal nature will be covered by you.

Day 1: Arriva and pick up

Right on arrival, meet our guide and drive to accommodation in Arusha

Day 2: Move to Miria Kamba Hut

At 8:00AM after breakfast drive to Momella gate for 2hrs

At 10:30AM check in and luggage weighing

At 12:00 noon lunch box/ hot at the gate

At 1:00PM departure from the main gate to Miria Kamba Hut for 4 to 5hrs (10Km)

At 6:30PM warm water for body sponge, at the camp you can see some monkeys & birds

At 7:00PM Coffee / Tea, popcorn.

At 7:30PM dinner

At 8:00PM next day briefing and ready for sleeping.

Day 3: Move from Miria Kamba to Sado Hut

At 6:00AM morning call / bird tea / coffee

At 6:30AM warm water for body sponge

At 7:00AM breakfast

At 8:00AM move from Miria Kamba to Sado Hut for 3 to 4hrs (8Km)

At 1:00PM lunch box / hot lunch at the camp

At 2:30PM photo taking & 2hrs. walk to little Meru

At 5:00PM warm water for body sponge

At 6:30PM tea/ coffee/ popcorn

At 7:00PM dinner

At 8:00PM Summit day briefing

At 11:00PM wake up for preparations

At 11:30PM breakfast

Day 4: Starting walking from Saddle Hut to the Summit

At 12:00Midnight, walking for 5 to 6hrs from Saddle Camp to the summit (5Km)

At 6:00AM photo taking around the summit for 5 to 15minutes.

At 6:30AM descending to Saddle Camp for 3 to 4hrs (5Km)

At 11:00AM breakfast and light food

At 12:00PM Descending to Miria Kamba Hut for 3 to 4hrs. (8Km)

At 6:00PM warm water for body sponge

At 6:30PM tea/ coffee/ popcorn

At 7:00PM dinner

At 8:00PM next day briefing.

Day 5: Move from Miria Kamba Hut to Momella gate

At 6:00AM morning call / bird tea / coffee

At 6:30AM warm water for body sponge

At 7:00AM breakfast

At 8:00AM move from Miria Kamba Hut to Momella gate for 4 to 5hrs (9Km)

At 1:30PM lunch box / hot lunch at the gate

At 2:30PM departure to Arusha accommodation for 2hrs (68km)
